The Clarence incorporating Manacle

After Manacle being a building site up until about noon, The Clarence got itself open at around 7pm. After a crazy day of building, paintin, flooring (thanks Chris for the great job in the foyer area!), and staff dropping out at the last minute, a cool, calm and refreshed team (yeah right... that was us) took to the bars.

We'd like to thank everyone who joined us over the weekend! Your support was greatly appreciated, and with what seemed like most of Sydney turning up (we estimate we had around 1000 through on opening night - not bad for a soft opening) it made it a very special night for all of the Clarence family! It was also great to welcome back a lot of faces we haven't seen for a while.

With a few hiccups your patience was greatly appreciated as were all the encouraging comments about the venue! We'll have even more of the bar completed this weekend (not to mention lighting by Allan Parkinson), and by the time of the official opening in about 5 weeks it should all be in place. We look forward to sharing the re-creation of the spaces with you, and as always welcome any suggestions on what you'd like to see because, well, you're Clarence...
